Michigan Spine & Brain Surgeons, PLLC

About Us: About the Practice

Established in 1999, we are a multi-disciplinary group of Neurosurgeons and Orthopedic spine surgeons, with subspecialties in complex spine, cerebrovascular skullbase, neuroendovascular intervention and neuro-oncology surgeries. The spine and brain conditions we manage include degenerative, trauma, infection, vascular, tumor, inflammatory and spinal deformity. Our spine expertise includes extensive adult spine revisions, degenerative scoliosis reconstruction, minimally invasive percutaneous surgery and artificial disc replacement. Our cranial expertise includes all cranial and intracerebral conditions with special emphasis on neuroendovascular intervention and neuro-oncology.

We are an expanding group with a high volume spine practice of over 2,000 spine cases per year. Our group performs the largest volume of minimally invasive spine surgery in Michigan. Apart from surgical and clinical excellence, we pursue evidence-based practice, with a commitment to patient education, outcome research, and customer satisfaction. Our practice is one of the study sites for an FDA national multicenter trial for artificial disc replacement.

Our practice believes that surgery is the last resort for the treatment of spinal and cranial disorders. This is especially true with spinal fusion, which is an undertaking only after careful consideration. We believe in working with the patient’s preference, lifestyle and the involvement of the family in the decision making process.
